For referring clinicians
Another option for the patient in front of you
West Clinical Research runs industry-sponsored trials in Morehead City. When standard care has run out of moves — or a patient wants access to something new — we can screen them, and you keep the relationship.
Portal sign-in is for invited clinicians. Referring takes a name and a mobile number — no date of birth — and your patient reviews and signs their own authorization. Not invited yet? The printable referral form and the clinician line below still work.
Reaching the research team
These routes go to the study coordinators, not the general front desk.
Referral fax
Call the clinician line to confirm the current referral fax number.

Sending a patient to call us? Give them the recruiting line, (252) 659-5222. It is staffed by the recruitment team and reaches the people who book screening visits. The clinician line above is for your office.
Who you are referring to
West Clinical Research is an independent research site in Morehead City, founded by Dr. Jeffrey K. Moore, Jordan Lewis and Luke Snedaker to bring trials to the Crystal Coast instead of asking patients to drive to Raleigh or Greenville.
Studies are run by a principal investigator and sub-investigator with dedicated coordinators, a study startup specialist and a recruitment team. Visits happen in private exam rooms at our own facility, with on-site draws and temperature-controlled study drug storage.
Referring does not transfer care. You remain the patient's clinician; we screen against the protocol, and if they enroll we work alongside you for the study visits.

How a referral works
- 1
You send it
Fax the referral form or call the clinician line. Send only what you would put in a normal specialist referral.
- 2
We confirm it came from you
A coordinator calls your office back before the patient is contacted. It is quick, and it is how we make sure a referral is genuine.
- 3
We screen and stay in touch
We talk the patient through the study and screen them against the protocol. With the patient's written authorization we can report the outcome back to your office.
Portal access for your practice
The clinician portal is where referring providers submit referrals and follow their patients' progress — from the text their patient receives through to the signed records release.
- Three ways in — a 6-digit code, a one-click sign-in link, or a password if you prefer one — and you can trust your office computer for 90 days.
- Every account is verified with a call to your practice before it is switched on.
- Already invited? Sign in here.
Request portal access
For clinicians who have not received an invitation. We verify every request by calling your practice before granting access.
