Health study

We are looking for adults who are relatively healthy or at risk of developing health problems related to their weight, such as prediabetes, high blood pressure, or high cholesterol. This study is testing an investigational once-daily pill called orforglipron to see if it can lower the risk of those health problems getting worse or progressing to obesity.

If you join, you will receive a DEXA full body composition scan showing your Muscle, fat, and bone mass and how it changes over time. You will take either orforglipron or a placebo (an inactive pill that looks the same) alternating over the 156 weeks of the study. Neither you nor your study doctor will know which one you are taking at any given time. Everyone in the study has a chance to receive orforglipron at some point. You will also receive counseling about healthy eating and physical activity throughout the study.

During the study, you will come in for regular visits that include weight and waist measurements, blood draws, questionnaires, heart tests (ECGs), and body composition scans (DXA). The study takes about 164 weeks to complete including the screening period. You will be compensated for your time and travel at each visit.
