About This Study

This study is testing an investigational weekly injection to see if it helps people living with obesity lose weight. It will be compared to an approved weight-loss medicine called semaglutide (Wegovy®) and a placebo (an injection with no active ingredient). Researchers want to learn how well the study drug works and whether it is safe.

If you join, you will be in the study for about 1 year and 8 months (about 84 weeks). You will have about 22 visits — some in person and some online (virtual). You will give yourself a weekly injection and will receive nutritional counseling and lifestyle support throughout the study. Blood and urine tests will be done at certain visits to check your health.

Taking part is completely voluntary. You can stop at any time without it affecting your regular medical care. There is no cost to you for study-related visits, tests, or the study drug.
