Weight Loss for Heart Attack or Stroke Survivors
Have you had a heart attack, stroke, or leg artery disease and struggle with your weight? You may qualify for a research study testing a monthly injection that may help protect your heart.

Up to about 3.5 years
Visits
Clinic visits every 4 weeks for the first 6 months, then every 12 weeks with phone visits every 4 weeks in between

About This Study
This study is looking at whether a medicine can help lower the risk of serious heart events, like heart attack, stroke, or heart failure, in people who already have heart or artery disease and are living with overweight or obesity.
You May Qualify If You
- You are an adult with a body mass index (BMI) of 27 or higher
- You have a history of heart attack, ischemic stroke, or symptomatic leg artery disease (peripheral arterial disease)
- You are willing to attend regular clinic visits and phone check-ins
- You are not currently pregnant, breastfeeding, or planning to become pregnant during the study
- You have not used a GLP-1, GIP, or amylin-based medicine (such as semaglutide or tirzepatide) in the past 90 days
- You are not currently enrolled in another investigational drug study
