About this study

This study is testing an investigational medication for people who experience pain from diabetic peripheral neuropathy (DPN). DPN is a type of nerve damage caused by Diabetes.

If you qualify and choose to join, you will be assigned by chance to take either the study medication or a placebo (inactive pill) once daily for 12 weeks.

The study includes clinic visits, blood and urine tests, heart tracings (ECGs), and daily electronic diaries to track your pain and medication use. You will be monitored closely throughout the study through visits that are similar to your normal doctors office visits.

  • Patients calling for themselves should use (252) 659-5222, which reaches the recruitment team.
